Coats, the world’s leading industrial thread manufacturer and a major player in the Americas textile crafts market, has launched a new website. The re-designed Coats.com site features fresh and revised content, enhanced design features and also merges assets from the previously separate coatsindustrial.com portal. This creates a single, unified ‘One Coats’ led digital platform for customers, other stakeholders and employees.
The site’s design is bold and sleek, with content that presents Coats as a technology focused global manufacturer, relevant to daily life and operating with a sustainable business model. It positions Coats as connecting, pioneering and trusted, with a key focus on sustainability. The striking imagery brings to life Coats’ people as well as its products and services and the diverse range of industry end uses.
Adrian Elliott, Group Head of Marketing and President, Apparel and Footwear, Coats, said: ‘Expert, relevant content that is easily accessible is at the heart of our new website. The industry in which we operate is changing rapidly, as are our customers’ requirements of us. Speed of access to assets of benefit and value is key, whether that be our products, services or website content so we have developed our new website with one thing front of mind: to better meet the needs of our customers.’
The intuitive navigation of the site supports Coats’ priorities of customer experience and digital first. It reflects a new go to market strategy based around a wider industry approach, so as well as including core sectors like apparel and footwear it also features automotive, composites, electronic textiles and personal protection, amongst others. This enables users to identify the area most relevant to them more quickly.
The site has been built using technology that ensures page view optimisation, whether using a desktop, tablet or mobile. It can also deliver personalised, industry specific content to site visitors which they can save to their own ‘My Coats’ account.
Coats.com features over 500 content pages and over 1,000 images. It brings together both corporate and B2B content for the first time. As well as showcasing the wide range of Coats products and services there is also a dedicated area to its historic narrative which can be traced back to 1760s Paisley in Scotland.
