Disclaimer
Polymer spiral zips are usually made from polyester or polyamide (nylon). When using continuous chain on rolls in regular garment production (generally men's trousers) polyamide spiral would be a better option, as it has the property of high elasticity, which is needed to make the two top ends of a zip even. Zips with polyester spiral are better suited to manufactures using ready-made or cut zips.
Prior to bulk production, Coats Opti recommends that tests and trials are carried out on all zip uses/applications in order to verify that the product meets end customer requirements and the demands of internal processing conditions. Coats Opti supports customers with advice on individual applications on request; if you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.
