Polyester corespun thread is recommended for knitted cardigan production; but polyester/cotton thread can be substituted when lustre is not required.
On overlock, chainstitch and coverseaming operations, the under thread may be substituted for Gramax, if a greater degree of seam covering is required.

A polyester corespun thread is recommended, but sometimes on wool or cotton garments, there is a requirement for the sewing thread used in creating Cut & Sew knitwear to be done with a sewing thread that does not have as much lustre. When this is the case, a polyester/cotton sewing thread can be substituted in the corresponding tex sizes.
