Coats plc, the world’s leading industrial thread and consumer textile crafts business, has appointed Rosi Heiland as its new Global Manufacturing Director.  She is responsible for defining and implementing manufacturing strategy across Coats, which has more than 70 production sites across six continents.

Rosi’s role includes defining best practice, developing global standards, driving performance improvement and ensuring sustainability in manufacturing capabilities.  Rosi joins Coats from Henkel AG & Co where she has been since 1997, most recently in the role of VP Production.

Chris Butcher, Chief Supply Chain Officer, Coats plc said, ‘Rosi has a first rate track record which will prove invaluable as Coats continues to drive and deliver standards of manufacturing excellence.’

Rosi has a Chemical Engineering degree and spent her early career in production management roles for Coca Cola and then in the chemicals/adhesives sector.  During that time she has run operations, developed and implemented global standards and has had responsibility for 30 global manufacturing sites.  More recently she has been working closely with commercial functions, focusing on creating and implementing company-wide strategies to improve overall business performance.
