Shirts
Children's shirts generally require 75 metres of thread. Although two Tex sizes have been suggested the final decision will be based upon the fabric weight, the construction of the load bearing seams and the stitch definition required (topstitching).
It’s important to remember the size of your thread will determine the size of the needle needed for sewing. To fit the demands of the final quality alternative thread types may be used.

Polo Shirts
When manufacturing knitted polo shirts, it’s important to use fine needles in order to avoid costly needle damage to the fabrics. We offer fine sizes of sewing thread which are made to the highest quality standards and deliver the requisite tenacity. Approximate thread consumption is 90 metres.

Nightwear
With comfort of utmost importance in pyjamas, our high quality sewing threads can enhance seam softness resulting in more comfortable garments.
Children’s dressing gowns require approximately 165 metres of thread. Children's pyjamas require approximately 100 metres of thread. Children's night dresses require approximately 55 metres of thread.

The production of children’s skirts may use a variety of sewing threads, from very blind hemming thread to coarser threads used for topstitching. We offer a dynamic range of sewing threads to meet this need, all of which are crafted to the highest quality standards. For the overlock serging operation the use of Gral 200 or Gramax Tex 18 is sometimes used to reduce the overall thread cost in the garments.

T-Shirts
Our sewing threads are designed to be soft, strong and have stretch. They also deliver required seam quality and offer excellent on machine performance.
Using stitch type 406, Gramax Tex 18 is recommended for attaching the binding to the neck and arm openings of t-shirts. Together they provide good seam covering properties and comfort next to the skin.
