It utilises a sophisticated air jet technology to convert filament yarns to a multi-purpose sewing thread and eliminates the need for spinning and twisting processes which enables Coats Ultimax to exhibit excellent uniformity, regularity and freedom from imperfections.
It is a versatile thread which can be used in a number of operations such as lockstitch, chainstitch, and multidirectional stitching, providing better overall performance on automated straight or contour seamers where rethreading can be expensive .
Because of its low profile and oval cross section, the sewn seams created by Ultimax bed into the fabric enabling greater protection from abrasive surfaces. This couples with its uniformity and lower fault levels helps ensure consistently lower repair rates.
