On Monday 3 June 2019 Coats Group plc hosted its first ESG focused investor event which was held at the London Stock Exchange.
Pioneering a Sustainable Future
Rajiv Sharma, CEO, provided the introduction, with an overview of ’Pioneering a Sustainable Future’, the first stand alone sustainability report (published in March 2019), which also launched the new strategy to accelerate the company’s progress towards a more sustainable future.
Adrian Elliott, President, Apparel & Footwear, provided a focus on the industry context and the commercial benefits of the sustainability strategy.
Andrew Morgan, Head of Sustainability, presented on Coats’ five sustainability pillars: Water, Energy, Effluent & Emissions, Social and Living Sustainably. He also covered the manufacturing processes used at Coats and the significant progress made to date, along with our ambitious 2022 targets, in order to become a more sustainable business.
