Coats Group plc, the world\u2019s leading manufacturer in thread and structural components for apparel and footwear, as well as an innovative pioneer in performance materials, is pleased to announce that it has won for the first time at the plc awards in The Transaction Of The Year category.<\/p>\n

The plc awards, which date back to 1987, celebrate the UK\u2019s best-performing firms listed on the London Stock Exchange, recognising companies listed on the Main Market for their successes and achievements. The Transaction Of The Year Award recognises excellence in a significant financial or commercial transaction during the period under review.<\/p>\n

Coats was shortlisted in a total of four award categories, the maximum number of nominations this year, including The Best Investor Communication Award, The Transaction Of The Year Award, The Transformation Of The Year Award and The Breakthrough Of The Year Award. All categories have an ESG criteria and the voting panel judges included investors and advisors.<\/p>\n

In 2022, Coats announced the acquisition of footwear solutions provider Texon and footwear reinforcement company Rhenoflex, becoming the global market leader in structural components for footwear. These acquisitions transformed Coats in terms of size and scale. Both companies are industry-leaders in sustainability and well-aligned and additive to Coats\u2019 own ambitious sustainability agenda.<\/p>\n
