In 2025, Coats:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Reduced Scope 1 &amp; 2 emissions by 30%, surpassing its 22% reduction target for 2026<sup>1<\/sup>.<\/li>\n\n<li>Contracted enough certified renewable electricity and generated enough solar power to cover more than 60% of its global electricity use.<\/li>\n\n<li>Received SBTi validation for its 2030 scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions\u2011reduction targets and 2050 Net Zero goal.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong><u>Materials &amp; Circularity<\/u><\/strong><\/p><p>Coats is innovating to drive a transition to low-impact raw materials and a longer-term reduction in Scope 3 emissions across its supply chain. In 2025, Coats:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Increased the use of non\u2011virgin oil-based materials to 52% of its primary raw materials, progressing toward its 60% target for 2026.<\/li>\n\n<li>Launched Textile\u2011to\u2011Textile 100% recycled polyester threads under its T2T Epic<em>\u2122<\/em> and T2T Gramax\u2122 brands, using post\u2011industrial and post\u2011consumer textile waste to enable circularity.<\/li>\n\n<li>Introduced Rhenoprint\u2122 RP Flow and RP Wave toe\u2011box components with 70% recycled content, manufactured via a zero\u2011waste process.<\/li>\n\n<li>Launched its Supplier Decarbonisation Programme, onboarding raw material suppliers onto the Cascale Higg platform to build emissions measurement capability and accelerate value chain decarbonisation.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong><u>Water Management<\/u><\/strong><\/p><p>Coats is taking an integrated approach to water stewardship \u2014 combining technology, recycling systems, and process optimisation to reduce freshwater extraction across its operations. In 2025, Coats:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Achieved a 25% increase in water recycling from its 2022 baseline, recycling over 1.1 million m<sup>3<\/sup> of water across its global sites and driving substantial progress toward its 2026 target of a 33% increase.<\/li>\n\n<li>Commissioned a new recycling system in its Bogor, Indonesia site and progressed construction on new recycling capacity for its Chittagong, Bangladesh site \u2013 both designed to recycle more than 50% of site consumption.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong><u>Waste Management<\/u><\/strong><\/p><p>Coats is eliminating waste to landfill and scaling circular solutions that keep materials in use for longer. In 2025, Coats:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Delivered zero waste to landfill<sup>2<\/sup> one year ahead of target.<\/li>\n\n<li>Achieved 99.97% compliance with globally recognised ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) standards in effluent discharge, advancing toward its goal of 100%.<\/li>\n\n<li>Recycled or reused 69% of its total waste, supported by a waste\u2011tracking system covering 60+ global business units.<\/li>\n\n<li>Reprocessed 526 tonnes of footwear composite waste into Ecopel \u2013 a material used in the Company\u2019s Reform\u2122 2.0 heel counter product \u2013 saving the equivalent amount of waste from landfill.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong><u>People and Culture<\/u><\/strong>:<\/p><p>Coats is committed to building a safe, inclusive and high-performing culture. In 2025, Coats:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Achieved <em>Great Place to Work<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/em> (GPTW) certification for the fifth year in a row \u2013 covering 99% of its employees and surpassing its 2022 target of 88% coverage.<\/li>\n\n<li>Was recognised as a <em>Best Workplaces\u2122 in Asia<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n<li>Increased the number of women in senior leadership roles to 33%, surpassing its 2026 target of 30% early.<\/li>\n\n<li>Rolled out AI\u2011enabled risk detection as part of its <em>Red Lines<\/em> safety programme across 24 sites, cutting medium\u2011severity safety alerts by approximately 95.5% and high\u2011severity alerts by approximately 62%.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>\u201c<\/strong>Exceeding several of our 2026 targets ahead of schedule shows what\u2019s possible when ambition is matched with disciplined execution and collaboration across our value chain,\u201d says <strong>Chris Dearing, Coats VP Group Sustainability<\/strong>. \u201cAlthough this year\u2019s results reflect outstanding progress, we know there&#8217;s even more work to do and remain fully committed to driving impact-led sustainability across the industry.\u201d<\/p><p>In December 2025, Coats also featured on the Carbon Disclosure Project\u2019s (CDP) A List for the first time, achieving an A- rating for Climate Change and A rating for Water.<\/p><p>All reported sustainability results exclude OrthoLite, which was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coats.com\/fr\/news\/2025\/10\/coats-completes-acquisition-of-ortholite-strengthening-footwear-business\/\">acquired by Coats in October 2025<\/a>.
