Why are seat covers showing dye stain marks against the leather material?
Check that no excess levels of sewing machine oil are being used in stitching the zip to the seat. Check the colour fastness of the seat leather, thread and zip and check for any residual chemicals left in the leather from the leather manufacturing process.
Why are the two halves of the zip tape separating, causing the teeth to be seen when the leather / fabric is stretched to fit the seat?
Sewn coil zips are more loose than S type zips. Check that an S type zip is being used for best results.
