Coats Phong Phu has won the People Empowerment category at the sixth Vietnam Supply Chain Awards.\u00a0 Coats Phong Phu, the Vietnam business of Coats plc, the world\u2019s leading industrial thread and consumer textile crafts business, was recognised at the recent annual awards ceremony of the Vietnam Supply Chain, the national association for supply chain professionals.\u00a0 The awards held in Ho Chi Minh City and attended by over 300 business leaders, honours the best practice of businesses and individuals in the supply chain industry in Vietnam.<\/p>\n
Coats Phong Phu won the award due to its reputation as an inspirational company for which to work and its committed people.\u00a0 The judges recognised its people strategy as being built around \u2018care, trust, innovation and long term success\u2019.\u00a0 It listens to and implements staff ideas and has increased its employee engagement level from 57% in 2010 to 80% in 2013.\u00a0 It has a culture of continuous improvement with 96 Kaizen projects and 47 individual Lean Six Sigma certifications this year.\u00a0 The company also recently celebrated 25 years of operating in Vietnam through its highly successful joint venture with Phong Phu Corporation<\/p>\n
