It has a high level of bleach-fastness so you can expect minimum color change even under the harshest bleaching conditions. Because of its superior strength, seams sewn with Epic Rugged are abrasion-resistant and can withstand stone washing.
Part of the Epic range, Epic Rugged is a precisely engineered, corespun thread that combines a high tenacity polyester filament core with a polyester wrap. Its high strength allows you to use a finer thread without compromising on durability. Epic Rugged delivers the best bleach fastness giving minimum color changes under strong bleaching conditions. The lubricated finish enables it to perform exceptionally well in highly demanding sewing environments.

Epic Rugged Shade Range
The Epic Rugged shade range is commercially bleach fast and uses specially selected dyestuffs which ensure minimum color change under strong bleach wash conditions.
Coats Epic Rugged is 100% polyester and as such, does not fade in color during the life of the garment.
Textile Care Labelling
The shades are commercially bleach fast and all physical properties of Coats Astra Rugged conform to specifications. These tests have been carried out under standard conditions of commercial denim laundries. When using especially harsh wash processes with strong concentrations of bleach, high temperature and/or excessively long process times, these may have a detrimental effect even on Coats Astra Rugged threads. For especially harsh wash processes and for innovative wash processes with new chemicals, it is recommended to carry out a full test wash to ensure the thread fully meets the requirement under the intended conditions before bulk.
