Our people

Coats has a workforce of 18,000 people in more than 50 countries throughout the world. Every one of the team plays a part in driving our business forward, and we have shared some of their stories below.

“In any year we take part in over 100 community engagement activities globally in support of our themes of education and textiles during a year. My role is rewarding as I work to co-ordinate and share stories with colleagues around Coats about this wide variety of activities which includes sponsoring English language classes in Pakistan, the deployment of a water tower for a school in Cambodia and teaching crafts skills to children in Honduras.”

My proudest achievement has been leading the implementation of new dye machinery which utilizes up to 33% less water. As well as environmental benefits, the new technology will bring financial benefits through reduced use of chemicals and energy.”
